Yes. Our kayaks have a maximum weight rating. As such, we have a maximum weight of 110 KG per person. They are open, sit on top boats with a comfortable seat, so you won’t be trying to squeeze into a little cockpit like on an enclosed kayak

No. Our skilled and trained instructors will help you develop the skills you need to participate safely and have fun on the water. This is more about having fun on the water and what you can see below than covering vast distances. Our wide sit on top kayaks are very stable and you are unlikely to fall in.

We have a fleet of clear-bottomed double kayaks. All of our guests use double kayaks on our tours. They are wide and stable with a crystal clear view of the reef life below you.

If you book solo, or end up an ‘orphan’, never fear… we will pair you with another compatible solo participant.

No. All of our guests are required to wear PFDs (lifejackets) whilst kayaking. These are provided.

The Aqua Explorer tour runs for roughly 1 hour on the water, plus a bit more for briefings.

Our tours are designed to be enjoyed by all so are not intended to cover vast distances. It is more about appreciating the scenery both above and below the water. The clear-bottomed kayaks are unique and amazing. You’ll love them.

Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, water, ideally long sleeve shirt for protection from the sun. Guests will be provided with a PFD (life jacket).

And of course a sense of fun!

You can reach Rottnest Island by ferry. It takes approximately 25 minutes from Fremantle, 45 minutes from Hillarys Boat Harbour, or 90 minutes from Perth’s Barrack Street Jetty. There are 3 ferry companies which provide this service:
